Yayasan Sime Darby invites promising undergraduate or diploma students for September 2022 intake and first-year students from low-income (B40) families to apply for a bursary to pursue tertiary education at any recognised Malaysian higher learning institutions.
1. Eligibility and Minimum Requirements
a) Malaysian.
b) Aged 25 years or below.
c) Obtained minimum five (5) credits in SPM for diploma applicants.
d) STPM/ Pre-University/ Foundation/ Local Matriculation/ Diploma/ Undergraduate with minimum CGPA of 3.00 for undergraduate applicants.
e) Total monthly gross household income of RM5,000 and below.

2. Accepted Fields of Study
YSD accepts any fields of study except for medicine.
3. Accepted Universities
YSD welcomes candidates who are currently studying; and those who have obtained firm or conditional offer from any recognised Malaysian higher learning institutions that are approved by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
4. Value of Scholarship
This bursary award covers tuition fees, living and book allowances up to a maximum amount of RM25,000 per year.
Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to undergo YSD THRIVE – Rising Talent, a wholesome learning experience specially designed for our Bursary and TVET scholars, including tailored employability skills training, wellness support, mentoring, industry meetups, volunteerism and access to an e-learning platform.
Note: Scholarship monies will be disbursed upon execution of scholarship agreement.
5. Service Bond Period
Bursary recipients are not required to serve a scholarship bond at any of the Sime Darby Companies.
