Puan Sri Normah Binti Hashim, a Malaysian, was appointed to the Governing Council of Yayasan Sime Darby on 2 August 2022.
Puan Sri Normah obtained her Bachelor of Science in Economics (Honours) degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She subsequently trained with KPMG in London and built a career in finance across different industries including property (Island & Peninsular), airline (Malaysia Airlines) and stockbroking (CIMB).
She left her professional career to focus her efforts on non-profit organisations related to supporting the blind, refugees and the less fortunate. She has edited three books on the Palestinian cause and founded a centre for Palestinian studies at Universiti Malaya.
