Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) and Global Environment Centre (GEC) hosted a community forum attended by 64 participants from six communities (from Perak, Johor, Kedah, Melaka and Selangor) on 2 to 5 August 2022 in Johor.

Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) is providing RM660,000 to The Lost Food Project (TLFP) across 3 years until September 2024 for the Surplus Food Rescue Programme.

Following the success of the first leg of the Whales On-The-Wheels Nationwide Tour in February 2022, The MareCet Research Organization (MareCet) is ready to bring their Whale Truck on the road again to the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia, specifically the states of Perak, Penang, Kedah and Perlis.

In conjunction with World Environment Day, celebrated annually on 5 June, Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD), in collaboration with Reef Check Malaysia (RCM), gathered about 150 volunteers from Sime Darby Berhad, Sime Darby Plantation Berhad and Sime Darby Property Berhad to clean up the Pantai Kelanang beach.

Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) is funding RM2 million to Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) to support the restoration of biodiversity, carbon sequestration and enhancement of ecosystem within the conservation-set-aside (CSA) areas in Sandakan Bay, Sabah across 3 years. Yayasan Sime Darby contributes 3,000 seedlings for the collaboration’s first tree planting site in Sua Betong Estate

Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) and Global Environment Centre (GEC) are collaborating on community-based mangrove conservation and sustainable livelihood programme to preserve and conserve the threatened mangrove coastlines from the effects of climate change and build sustainable livelihoods among the community members by restoring and maintaining mangrove forests in coastal landscapes.

The MareCet Research Organization (MareCet) is commencing a mobile marine education programme called the “Whales On-The-Wheels Nationwide Tour”. The travelling exhibition, sponsored by Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD), is intended to promote awareness about the ocean, Malaysia’s marine mammals, marine life and ecosystems, as well as marine conservation issues.

Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) dan Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) menjalankan kerjasama dalam satu projek pemulihan biodiversiti hutan, penyerapan karbon dan peningkatan perkhidmatan ekosistem di kawasan conservation set-aside (CSA), bertempat di Teluk Sandakan. Projek ini dibiayai sepenuhnya oleh YSD dengan dana berjumlah sebanyak RM2,000,000 bagi tempoh tiga tahun.
